When the Streets Bled Green and White: The Echoes of #EndSARS

“They tried to silence a people, but they only amplified a cause.” Youths rise in unity  the voice of a generation that refused silence. It began like a whisper… A murmur beneath the heat of frustration, but by late September 2020 , that whisper became thunder  a storm of voices chanting “End SARS !” Voices of the young, the brave, the broken, rising from the streets of Lagos , Abuja , Port Harcourt , and beyond. Nigeria had been silent for too long. Then her children spoke. The year was already heavy  the world had just been locked down by a virus unseen, but in Nigeria, another virus had lived long before COVID  a virus in black uniform, carrying guns instead of syringes, shooting dreams instead of bullets at robbers.
